Pieniny are extremely charming and beautiful, with fantastic views and a unique atmosphere. Wladyslaw Anczyca in 1864 stated: “Who was not in the Tatrach and Pieniny was not anywhere and did not see anything.” We love to go back there, because this year the team Frihetu appeared on the Pieniny trails. All night rain hard knocks on the window, as if demanding admission to the center of the room. When morning shyly looked out the window, they greeted me low-slung, black clouds. It does not bode well, so we decided to move to the mountains until noon. It was a good decision. Entering [ photo ] Homole Gorge gently began to break through the blue sky [ photo ]. Slowly and quietly we hiked up the hill, admiring the views and classifying encounter with a herd of sheep [ photo ], guarded by three the Highlanders. His five minutes also had my trusty companion on this trip, classifying a brief photo session [ photo ]. The higher the like more sun. In the end, we reached the summit empty High, where peace and tranquility drowned in mountain landscapes [ photo ]. Complementing and the perfect end to the day was a beautiful sunset [ photo ]. Unique, see a [ photo ] …

On the trail of emptiness. Cold wind raced thick clouds, which effectively cut us from the sun. Just for the moment, a few rays could get through [ photo ], giving us hope for improving conditions. After leaving the shelter Przehyba wind became stronger and more icy. It got cold. However, strong gusts of wind slowly sliding apart the clouds and began to appear more sun [ photo ]. Several meters from the trail, near the heliport, we came across an old, very climatic chapel – a monument [ photo ]. On the table attached to the inscription to that effect: “Passerby mention the fighting messengers and guerrillas Nowy Sacz 1939-1945”. After a moment of reflection we moved on. Wandering leisurely pace we reached the Radziejowa, where an observation tower admiring the scenery around us [ photo ], also with a touch of patriotic [ photo ]. In the meantime sessions he caught a second companion this trip, which is always with me [ photo ]. In the evening, the weather has stabilized, icy wind was blowing, but much improved visibility. Encouraged by this fact, we decided to stay in the mountains at sunset. At the pass Żłobki torn out trees and shrubs have created a window [ photo ], from which we could watch the charming west [ photo ]. It was peaceful, quiet and very colorful … In the light of headlamps, searching for signs trail, slowly descended down to Jaworki. Night scenery, like horror movies [ photo ], she added, returning to our unique climate.

After a busy day yesterday, today decided to relax and explore the nearby castles. We went to Czorsztyn, where on a hill rising Wronin castle ruins from the fourteenth century [ photo ]. There are ongoing comprehensive restoration works, many elements of the castle is well-preserved and worth seeing. With its walls an unforgettable view of Lake Czorsztyńskie [ photo ] and Dunajec castle [ photo ], which was now our next goal. Built in Niedzica by Hungarians as a fortification prepared to defend their northern border in the fourteenth century [ photo ]. Today, the castle serves as museum, hotel and catering. After crossing the entrance gate to the castle courtyard we get [ photo ]. Next wooden stairs [ photo ], over which hung banners with the coats of arms of successive owners of the castle, you reach into the chambers of the museum [ photo ]. After visiting the Chamber guard [ photo ] and the upper castle, we went to the observation deck from which you can admire the view of the surroundings [ photo ]. The last highlight of the day was seeing the image of “The Power of the Elements” on the dam Niedzica [ photo ]. Impressive 🙂

Today we decided to visit the Pieniny after the Slovakian side. From the morning sky took on a sad tone, gray color, and from time to time zrzucało for us the rain. The Slovakian forest was dark [ photo ], the trail switchbacks writhed and every now and then changed direction. It was as though more quietly and more wildly … While on the trail we met a few people. When we reached the Foresters finally showed up the sun, which breathes life into the surrounding peaks [ photo ]. There was a short [ photo ], but significantly improved our moods. A long journey on the Dunajec [ photo ] today completed the expedition. Divination say that tomorrow is to drastically improve weather. We’ll see…

Under a starry sky, in the moonlight we climb on high, to see the sunrise. We reach the summit at dawn, when the sky begins to dominate orange and red [ photo ]. Tatry brushed as the brush of the artist, the first rays of the sun, looked phenomenal [ photo ]. Valleys were flooded by sea mists [ photo ], above which stood out the Three Crowns. Amazing view! Although it is very cold, we feel very well. For me, these are the most beautiful moments in the mountains. After an eventful morning rested in a mountain resort “Under Dubraszką” eating delicious soup and listening to the crackling of burning wood in the fireplace. After regenerating we roamed the picturesque trail to the shelter Orlica. There, after a short rest we went back on the High Peak to enjoy the sunset with him. The road passed us quickly and it’s nice, because noble views today lacked [ photo ]. It was no different with the West, which impressed us with their verve and beautiful colors [ photo ]. The sky literally burned, covered with red clouds [ photo ], like tongues of fire… It was worth it to be in the mountains for so long and be a witness. The day ended as it started, that is, under a starry sky 🙂

Dense fog quite effectively reduces our visibility and made it difficult approach to Sokolica, where he climbed at sunrise. Unfortunately, after you reach the top, instead of views, we saw the white milk… Happiness is not left us to the end and for a brief moment, a white curtain was lifted, revealing to us the wonderful scenery [ photo ], which previously carefully concealed. The famous pine tops thumping over the mist and reigning over all Tatry [ photo ]. Beautiful view, which lasted for a short time … Then a very long reigned omnipresent white. But we were so patient and waited until the fog went down, revealing to us the coveted view [ photo ]. ZWe found ourselves on the roof of the world! Once at the top it started to get crowded, we went to the Three Crowns. On the trail already a lot of people, school trips, noise and screams. When you reach the Okrąglica we found a queue to enter the top. We waited looser moment we entered the top [ photo ] and we went back to Sokolica. And there, a mile you, things unheard of. People barefoot entering the peak, which, also barefoot, was a strange guy and played the seashell. Such things not yet seen, although it was annoying, we had a good laugh. Before sunset, fortunately, we were no longer alone at the top. The famous pine relict, insulated the last rays of the sun, beautifully presented on a background of mountains [ photo ]. It was another successful day [ photo ] 🙂

At the end of our trip to Pieniny, we went to the White Water Reserve, which is full of picturesque rocks and their steep gorges and waterfalls forming [ photo ]. The weather was perfect, so wandering this charming place [ photo ] it was a pleasure [ photo ]. At the pass Separates camped [ photo ] and decided to stay for the sunset. It was the right decision, because Pieniny say goodbye to our wonderful sunset [ photo ] and a magnificent view [ photo ]. Until regret coming back…

Ależ wam super wyprawa wyszła – wspaniały widok na Tatry, jeszcze do tego oświetlone zachodzącym słońcem !! To co zaskakuje to niezwykła przejrzystość powietrza mimo pory roku i mgieł. Urozmaicony wodospadami, skałkami, lasem i dziką rzeką krajobraz robi na fotach duże wrażenie. Mieliście tam naprawdę ładne widoczki. Najbardziej zazdroszczę ,,rozgwieżdżonego nieba” 🙂
